About Us

The Insurance Man & Associates was founded in 1976 by Wayne Runkles who had a mission of providing the best insurance products and services to the community through honesty, integrity and professionalism. John Underwood, President of the Agency today, joined the firm in 1978 bringing years of underwriting experience to the team.  Ray C. Irving joined in 2003 bringing over 17 years of insurance experience and today serves as Vice-President of the Agency. Brandy Greenleaf joined the agency in 2007 and is currently serving in a sales capacity. She is knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

Our Customer Service Representatives are friendly and always welcoming. They are licensed and ready to serve your insurance needs. They each attend annual training programs for their continuing education and keep up with the changing needs of our clients. We are proud of the fact that all of our Customer Service Representatives have earned the title of "ACSR" - Accredited Customer Service Representative.

Our Personal Lines staff can assist you insuring your Home, Mobile Home, Auto, Motorcycle or any other Recreational vehicle. Our Commercial Lines staff will assist you with your business insurance, whether it be Oil & Gas, Contractors, Farm & Ranch, Industrial, Manufacturing, Retail and Churches. Group Health, Employee Benefits and Life insurance are other products offered by our agency.

The Insurance Man & Associates is a member of The Independent Insurance Agents of Texas and The Independent Agents and Brokers of America. In addition, we are a member of Southwest Insurance Alliance, which writes in excess of 25 million dollars in premium. Being an independent agency allows us the flexibility to contract with financially strong insurance companies to best protect our clients.
